The generousity of a stranger

So, I got an email yesterday from our wonderful librarian informing us that every, yes every, student at our school is to receive one free book of their choice from our book fair! We have an anonymous donor! This same person did the same thing last year. It just so happens that it is so close to Christmas, so most kids think that is Santa! Well, this donor certainly is a Santa! We have kids in our school that don't have any books that they can read at home, and now they have at least one!
I was SOOOOO excited when I saw Drew heading to the library this morning with one of his teacher's! About 5 minutes later, I heard a little knock at my door and there was Drew! He came in my room to ask me if he had this book already. I told him that no, he did not and he said, "OK! then this is the one I will get!" It's called Lola at the Library. We read it twice tonight before bed! I explained to him that someone very nice bought a book for everyone and he thought that was so nice, but kept asking me why. My only response that I could give him was that some people are extremely generous and like to give nice things. He said it was a neat thing!
And so, to whomever you are, Drew says a great big THANK YOU!
Drew showing off his new book! He was so excited to read this!

Mommy reading Lola to Drew. He was listening so intently!
