This weekend was such a sweet one, I'm sad to see it go. The whole weekend was awesome. We did the annual March of Dimes Walk for Babies on Saturday morning. How lucky were we this year? We walked with another family, actually one of Drew's teachers! The route was MUCH better this year! We got to walk to/around the capital! And the weather could not have been better. I actually wore a sweatshirt for most of the walk. As soon as the walk was over, we headed on over the Threadgill's. WOW! This was my first time there and my boys' first time as well. It was very yummy!
Saturday night, my sweet hubby grilled steaks for my mom and I and we got to see my brother and his little family! Sweet laughter was all over our house last night and today!
My boys treated me to my fave breakfast this morning and I have been lazy all day. It was such a sweet day. Craig is currently putting together my 4 Adirondack wooden chairs that I got for Mother's day from my "3 D's"! My 2 sweet babies are asleep. The sounds of a baseball game are on my tv.
I'm such a blessed Mommy. I have 2 sweet healthy little boys. They bless me everyday. I thanked them both today for making me a mommy. It's my favorite thing about myself! The one true thing that no matter how bad it may seem or how bad a day I may have, I know I'm the best Mommy for those 2 boys. I'm truly blessed. I thank God for them every single day.
I have a friend who had a baby today. Another friend who babtized her baby today. A friend who lost a sweet baby today. A friend whose babies are sick today. And a few friends who are waiting to be mommies! Also, a plethora of friends who get to enjoy this most wonderful job in the world!
May you never take for granted what God has given you by making you a Mommy. My heart goes out to all the women out there that can't have their own children. I marvel at the women who raise children that come from different places. You don't have to birth a child to be a mommy, and I'm in awe of those miraculous women.
This world really is a better place because of mommies!
May God bless Mommies everywhere, not just today, but everyday.
