Working Mommy

Can I just tell you that I hate being a working mom! I know most of you have heard that before, and I'm sure you are getting tired of it. I have wanted to be home with my babies since day one! Since Drew was a baby I have not wanted to work. Not because it meant staying home and not having to get dressed everyday for work. I feel like I'm missing out on so much. I'm missing daily interactions and conversations with my children. I'm missing out on new discoveries, new words, etc. Right now with Dylan being so little, it's hard to miss those things.
THANKFULLY, we have WONDERFUL daycare for Dylan and WONDERFUL teachers for Drew. I'm so amazed at how much Drew is learning. He is learning to read so much and can read all his classmates names and can read the little books that the teacher sends home with him every Monday to go with the theme! And Dylan is at a home daycare and they are just awesome.
I know that my boys are social because I work and they are around other kids and adults.
I soak up my boys on the weekends and holidays/summers to the point that nobody understands probably besides other working moms! I know there are a lot of perks to me working. But on those days that I have off, I feel like I get so much more done for them and around the house, and I'm not wiped out by the end of the day! I'm so completely exhausted after working all day and then being super mommy.
Who knows, maybe one of these days, I'll just quit and not go back to work. Don't think that hasn't crossed my mind several times!
