"Because while nothing can fill the space of a lost child or loved one, all of us can extend a hand to those in need -- to remind them that we are there for them, that we are praying for them, that the love they felt for those they lost endures not just in their memories, but also in ours.
May God bless the memory of the victims and, in the words of Scripture, heal the
brokenhearted and bind up their wounds." -- President Barack Obama

As a teacher, mother and human being, I can't begin to understand what happend on Friday. I didn't watch the news all weekend, as if that would possibly make this all go away or better. I don't know. I don't know what the answer is, and maybe there isn't ONE answer. Arming the schools? I'm fairly certain I'd quit my job. All I can do is hug my kids tighter and tell them I love them every chance I get. You must live life to the fullest and take nothing for granted. I pray for these families, that they can find strength in their healing and learn to live without these people listed above. How do you move on? That's different for everyone who has ever lost. We are praying for you Newtown.
