It was beyond time to go, so last Saturday we went on a date after a long crazy hot day of soccer and baseball.
Our plan was to go to a restaurant and bar that we'd never been to.
We went to Ranch 616, which came highly recommended. It was amazing. Great food, fun atmosphere, eclectic decor.
Our water glasses were funny and cool!
Drinks were amazing.
After dinner we were supposed to go to 6 lounge, Lance Armstrong's bar.
But we never made it!
My car had been acting funny on our way downtown and once we got there it was really acting up....not changing gears.
So, we decided that we would head back home after dinner but we didn't get very far.
The car completely quit!
We got it into a parking lot and sat there for a while wondering what to do. We decided against trying to drive home. Our date was over. His parents came to get us and the tow truck took my car.
Being without my car sucks.
It's in the shop getting a new transmission. We don't know how long it will take. The sucker's warranty expires in 3 weeks! Wow. What timing. It'll be paid off next October and I plan on buying a new car then! (Unless the price is right now!)
