Graduation

I met the Pool family when I was 15. They lived next door to some of my family and were looking for a babysitter. And there I was. Nathan was about 18-19 months. He was such a fun baby! I always went over there and had so much fun. It never felt like a job. I felt more like a part time nanny than a babysitter. I was there a lot. I picked him up from mothers day out. We went places. It was so much fun. Then his sweet little brother Jared came around and our fun doubled. I was with these boys for 5 years. Then I left for A&M. And they decided to grow up. Fast! Last night, I watched as Nathan walked across the stage to receive his high school diploma. I was so proud and also thankful that I was able to go. I got to spend some much needed time with the whole family.

Jared is taller than me too. And I wish I had gotten a picture with him too!
Nathan is going to Texas Tech in the fall. I always knew that's where he would go!
I bought him a hat and put some gift cards in it.


I was so happy when he opened his gift and said he really liked the hat. And even wore it to his post grad party. Ha. That made my day!

So, my boys. My first boys who taught me so much about love and life without knowing it, are both freshman. One in high school and one in college. They are wonderful, smart, talented boys. Er, young men!
